INTERNATIONAL PAPER #1 and INTERNATIONAL PRESENTATION #2

Sometimes i just can't believe how blessed i am to have such grace pouring on my head =)

A paper was recently submitted to a peer-reviewed and revered international medical journal, and  presentation of abstract #2 is on the way to being submitted for an international conference in Turkey next year.

*clasps hands and prays paper and presentation would be accepted*

>.<

There comes a day when i get so caught up with things to do that i don't even have time to reply SMS-es or to pick up calls or to sit down and talk to people.

That day has come...and has been continuing for the past 3 weeks (-_-)'''

Ugh.

Tomorrow onwards, for every 1 hour i spend in a day, i'll keep 5 minutes for myself, and another 5 for actually communicating properly with people.

Ah...the beauty of procrastination =)

SMALL SMALL THINGS MAKE BIG BIG DIFFERENCE

It takes very little to make people happy.

Uh, well, it takes little to make ME happy =)

Yesterday, as I was driving home, someone gave way at this particularly crazy stretch of road. I was in the wrong lane and had to turn out into a moving lane which was moving bumper to bumper. This lady slowed down waaaaaay too much so that I could get out.

Today, I went to get some guava at this roadside stall during lunch. The owner gave waaaaay too many pieces of guava (definitely more than usual) for 2 ringgit.

I felt really good and glad after both incidents. I was happy that people cared enough to want to do small small things like that which made a big big difference in my day.

So, I want to thank them, and I hope that they continue making more people happy in their ways, and I hope that the people they touched would remember to reach out and touch more people.

My 2 cents =)

A & C DYNAMIC DANCE STUDIO ANNUAL DINNER AND DANCE

Hey ya~

I have been talking non-stop about dance for a long time =)

My mum sorta kinda thinks I'm crazy to be training almost every day until midnight =)

I'd call that passion (which, come to think of it, can be synonymous to crazy haha!).

I love dance. I've learnt so much from it, way beyond the steps and music. It has helped me grow in my thoughts and feelings in a way that I wouldn't have imagined.

I'm still a rookie =) have only been dancing for about a year. But I've been privileged enough to be invited to be part of a performance team, which consists of mainly the senior students and the studio's instructors. It is daunting to be in a group where everyone has more experience, but I'm enjoying the challenge =)

We are going to be performing a 50 minute (yes, FIFTY MINUTES!) spectacular show during our studio's annual dinner and dance this year.

It would be an such honour if you, who have been reading about me and my dance, could come watch my first stage show with the rest =)

Date: September 18, 2009 (Friday)
Time: 7.30pm
Venue: Crown Plaza Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
Dinner: Chinese sit-down dinner
Tickets: RM 150 per person

Do let me know by August 31st if you would like to come. Tickets are running out and the good seats are going pretty fast.

=)

SOREEEEEEEEEE........

It has been a pretty sore week.

Mentally sore from lots of work. Lots of frustration. I have not tied my hair for a long time since my last hair cut. Had to tie yesterday, was kinda worried that i'll pull out a significant lot if I don't.

Physically sore from dance training. We are doing lifts and pulls and lots of flipping about. I'm rarely insecure about my weight. I think this is one of the rare times I really wish I'm lighter so that my partner doesn't have to exert so much energy to carry me. It takes a huge toll after a few rounds.

Back and shoulder hurts. I think I slept in the wrong position last night.

Sigh. Long week. Just feel like hiding in a nice dark cool room and hugging my sister's dog.

My 1 attempt at being intellectual: Anagnorisis and Peripeteia. Discovery and change. Deep. Cheem................haha

Ow...Cannot laugh. Ribs hurt =S

Happy weekend y'all~
